Frequently Asked Questions

  • The capable ones. The high performers every room relies on, the women who have been everyone’s solution, and the leaders and organizations responsible for them. Individuals come to me through The Architect’s Voice and the One Hit Intensive.

Organizations come to me for keynotes and consulting.

  • I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with twenty-five years in the chair, not a motivational speaker borrowing clinical language. The work is grounded in the nervous system, in somatic experience, and in the real physiology of sustained performance. You will not leave with a high that fades by Monday. You will leave with language for what you have been carrying and a way to set it down.

  • No. My Sylvia Says speaking, consulting, and cohort work is education and professional development. It is not clinical treatment, and it does not create a therapist-client relationship. If therapy is what you are looking for, I am glad to point you toward appropriate care.

  • It is the bill that arrives after the work is done, paid in the body and in the career. When skilled people live in a prolonged threat state, the cost surfaces as fatigue, attrition, and the quiet erosion of talent. It runs highest for those who have spent years performing composure, and higher still for professionals of color carrying the added weight of code-switching. Naming the cost is the first step toward no longer paying it blindly.

  • The professional who is ready to stop working and writing for everyone and start building for the one person her work was made to reach. The woman who has been the solution in every room and is ready to design her own.

  • Seventy-five minutes, one problem, one focused session built on Language Is Enough™. We do one thing well and send you out with language you can use that day. It is for the woman who knows what she needs to move and does not have time to waste.

  • For speaking, book a discovery call. For organizational consulting, send an inquiry. For The Architect’s Voice, join the next cohort or choose the self-paced path. For the One Hit Intensive, book the session. Everything starts with a conversation about what you are carrying and what it is costing you not to set it down.

  • I am based in Evanston, Illinois, and I work with audiences and clients across the country and beyond, both in person and virtually.
